About our Private Tours

Looking to customize your own day tour of Olympic National Park? Work with our Operations Team to design a personalized tour experience of your favorite hiking trails, destinations, and ecosystems with an experienced local hiking guide.

Our 3-Step Reservation Process

  1. Submit Request: Select tour date, transportation, and destinations.

  2. Trip planning: Our Operations Team will contact you to finalize your tour logistics (i.e. departure time, meet-up location, and destinations).

  3. Enjoy your tour: Our local hiking guide will meet you at the finalized meet-up location and begin the tour!

 

Tour Rate: $500 per day + ONP entrance fees

Day rate includes custom itinerary planning and our commercially authorized local guide leading the tour.

Add Transportation

Want us to drive? We can provide roundtrip transportation in our tour vehicle from our Port Angeles office for an additional fee.

  • 1-4 passengers: +$100

  • 5-10 passengers: +$200

  • 11-14 passengers: +$300


Tour Logistics

  • Tour Duration: 7-9 hour tour itinerary is based on a start time from our Olympic Hiking Co. Tour Office in Port Angeles, WA.

  • Self-Drive Tours: Clients will drive their own vehicle throughout the tour, will meet their OHC guide at the various Olympic National Park trailheads, and will be responsible for any Olympic National Park entrance fees.

  • Entrance Fees: For groups of 4 or less, we will charge a $15 per adult entrance fee. Entrance fees will not be charged for guests Age 15 or younger or for those traveling with an America the Beautiful Pass ($80 cost) or valid Olympic National Park Annual Pass ($55 cost). Groups of 5 or more are charged a flat rate of $75, regardless of park passes.

  • Departure Time: Based on the tour destinations, we generally recommend a departure time no later than 8:00 AM, unless traveling in the fall, winter, or spring.

  • Picnic Lunches: For tours that depart from Port Angeles, picnic lunches are available for $15 per lunch ordered, which includes a build your own sandwich from our local deli, chips, and trail mix. Otherwise, we recommend that guests pack their own lunches and hiking snacks for the tour outing.

  • Meet-up Locations: Alternative meet-up locations are available in Port Angeles or along our private tour route (i.e. Lake Crescent, Forks, Hoh, La Push, or Kalaloch). Please contact us if you have any questions about meet-up location options — we’re happy to help!


Our Top-Rated Itineraries

Multi-Destination Tours

Summary: Want to see the Best of Olympic National Park in one or two days? Our multi-destination tours allow you to experience the widest array of Olympic’s biodiversity in one day trip. These itineraries are built to feature a 2-3 mile guided hike at the morning destination, followed by a 2-3 mile guided hike at the afternoon destination, split up with allocated time for picnic lunch. If desired, we can focus on shorter nature walks and Visitor Center exhibits, good for all ages and abilities. Because we are driving to multiple destinations, expect to have 4-5 hours of drive time during these 7-9 hour tours.

Hoh Rain Forest and Pacific Coast

Two miles of scenic nature loops in the Hoh Rain Forest with nearby explorations along the Olympic Wilderness Coast.

Sol Duc Falls and Hurricane Ridge

A forested waterfall hike at the Sol Duc Valley, followed by more explorations at Lake Crescent and atop Hurricane Ridge.


Moderate Day Hikes

Summary: Looking for a more challenging day hike, maximize your time on the trail, and minimize your drive time? If so, our moderate day hike option is the best way to fully immerse yourself into a single destination, hike the most possible miles, and enjoy more secluded viewpoints of Olympic National Park. Klahhane Ridge

Subalpine | Steep switchbacks for a ridgeline hike with sweeping subalpine vistas of the Olympic Mountains and ocean.
