The premier waterfall of Olympic National Park

Overview

Sol Duc Falls is widely considered the top waterfall in Olympic National Park. In less than a mile, you make a scenic trek through towering old-growth forests toward the Sol Duc River. Eventually, you will arrive at a large rustic wooden bridge that crosses the Sol Duc River where the river drops into a deep canyon. If you’re looking to add additional mileage, there are other nearby trails to Deer Lake (3 miles further), Lover’s Lane, or the entire Seven Lakes Basin Loop. The Sol Duc Valley is typically open late March through November, until the first winter snow closes the road for the offseason.
