Additional Information
This trailhead shuttle provides transportation for backpackers between the Hoh Rain Forest trailhead to the Sol Duc trailhead in Olympic National Park. It is roughly a 1 hour 45 minute drive. Our passenger check-in will be in front of the Hoh Rain Forest Visitor Center, which is the trailhead for the Hoh River Trail that connects into the Sol Duc. The Visitor Center is accessed through the day-use lot, thus we recommend parking in the adjacent backpackers lot (walking distance) for ample parking. This group shuttle is only available after July 15 as online permits on recreation.gov are only allowed Jul 15 - Oct 15 due to waiting for the winter snowpack melt. We recommend you book this Hoh Rain Forest to Sol Duc shuttle at the beginning of your trip, allowing you to hike back to your vehicle at the Hoh. There are nearby campgrounds at the Hoh Rain Forest and Bogachiel State Park, or there is lodging in Forks. In general, we recommend to backpackers to arrange the shuttle at the beginning of the trip if possible, so you don’t have to stress about timing an exact exit date and time during your hiking trip.
