conquer Mount storm king

Summary: Storm King is one of the Olympic Peninsula's most popular hikes. The trailhead is located along the trail to Marymere Falls near the Storm King Ranger Station at Lake Crescent. The hike is only 3.8 miles roundtrip, but is one of the steepest hikes on the Peninsula, as you quickly gain 1,700 feet in elevation. There are two lookouts. The first (and safest) will be the first big clearing on your left as you hike up. It's a great view of Lake Crescent and the Straits of Juan De Fuca. The second (and more dangerous) is past this first lookout. You will use ropes to climb up to the rocky summit of Mount Storm King and will have an unobstructed view from the top.
