Visitor Center and Services
After the visitor center was destroyed in a fire, services at Hurricane Ridge are now different.
Temporary trailers will provide restrooms and a visitor contact station. The contact station will be staffed intermittently Fridays through Sundays. There will be no indoor warming area, food service, potable water, or gear rentals available. Accordingly, our winter shuttle bus will remain parked atop Hurricane Ridge to serve as the warming area for our shuttle passengers throughout the day.

Why should you take our shuttle to Hurricane Ridge?
Avoid Entrance Fee Wait Station Delays. With a dedicated shuttle bus parking area, our winter shuttle will be able to get through the Hurricane Ridge Entrance Fee Station upon the road opening, avoiding delays that can occur once the parking lot fills up.
No stress over tire chains! Olympic National Park requires tire chains to be carried in the vehicle at all times for winter travel up to Hurricane Ridge, and for very snowy conditions, required to be put onto the vehicle.
Enjoy the ride, don’t stress the drive! The 17-mile road up to Hurricane Ridge is one of the most spectacular drives in the Pacific Northwest. However, in the wintertime, it can easily become a more white-knuckle driving experience. Let our professional transportation partner and their commercial drivers take the wheel, so you can enjoy the drive and views!
