A great dayhike or backpacking trip

Summary: The hike to Third Beach is the longest amongst the La Push beaches (2.8 miles roundtrip), but it is well worth the extra trek. A 1.4 mile hike through the forest leads you to the Pacific Ocean. Be sure to savor the final stretch, as the trail provides an amazing aerial downward view of the coast before your final descent to the beach. Once you climb over the collection of massive driftwood logs at the beach trailhead, a beautiful sandy landscape awaits. Take a left and head south for 0.5 miles to view a neat coastal waterfall.
