Sweeping Vistas of the Olympic Mountains

Hurricane Ridge offers visitors a unique opportunity to give their explorations a 5,000 foot headstart by driving from sea-level in Port Angeles to 5,242 feet elevation at the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center in just 40 minutes. At the Visitor Center, there is a cafe, gift shop, a variety of exhibits, restrooms, and well-maintained nature trails nearby. On a clear summer day, visitors can enjoy sweeping views of the interior Olympic Mountains, subalpine meadows, and Strait of Juan De Fuca atop Hurricane Ridge. During the winter season (Dec 1 - Mar 31), snow removal crews keep Hurricane Ridge road open Friday-Sunday and Monday holidays, making the grandfathered-in Ski and Snowboard operations possible and provides incredible access for snowshoeing and backcountry skiing.
